Celebrating LGBTQ Pride at Mizzou

An LGBTQ Pride display is currently on view on the main floor of the MU Student Center. This display will only be up for a few more days, so see it today!



The display is comprised of notable LGBTQ themed Savitar spreads as well as printed materials on loan from the LGBTQ resource center. Here are a few highlights:

In 1978 LGBTQ students gained the hard-won right to form student organizations (Savitar, 1978).

Since the 1990s, MU's LGBTQ Center has celebrated National Coming Out Week with supportive activities and programs on campus (Savitar, 1999).
